Jackie Burton
Founder/President
I’m a builder at heart. I love to build relationships, strategies and narratives. And a good sand castle. For me, success is defined by building this business with a team of people who collaborate seamlessly, enjoy their work, and are committed to life-long learning. I aim to lead by example, engaging clients as partners and building trust so that I can provide the highest level of counsel and support. In my 30-year career in communications and marketing, I’ve worked on behalf of Fortune 10 companies and start-up businesses, public sector organizations and not-for-profits. And, from social media engagement to media relations to crisis management, I’ve implemented nearly every type of communications tool in the business.
What all of these important opportunities have taught me is that each client, each situation, each opportunity is unique. We can - and should - draw upon past experiences, but must also be ready to roll up our sleeves and build from the foundation up. Side by side, again and again.
As President of Concordant, I look forward to helping your organization build on its successes and write new chapters in its ongoing story. #proudmom #jerseygirl #seaseeker
Of course I couldn’t do it alone. Concordant is a creative team of account managers, social media experts, writers, photographers and video producers. Together we will help you elevate your message and connect with your audience. Our storytellers are:
Wendy Baker
At my core, I am a storyteller with a rich background in the theater world. My journey began under the spotlight as a performer. Over time, I’ve donned various hats—teacher, director, and playwright—each role contributing to my artistry and ability to connect with people.
Video production and editing became a natural extension of my love for storytelling. After graduating from Syracuse University as a theater major, I studied film at SUNY Purchase. I learned film editing during the analog era—hunched over a table, meticulously splicing film negatives. It was a long way from today’s digital realm, but that experience honed my detail-oriented editing skills.
As a theater professional, I’ve had the privilege of serving as an Artistic Director of a youth theater company and many years as an artist-in-residence, providing opportunities for students of all ages, a creative outlet whether it be performing Shakespeare, musical theater, lyric writing or exploring diverse content areas.
My journey as a video editor has been equally fulfilling. I’ve worked with the Southern Westchester BOCES Office of Public Relations and Mack Digital Communications. I’ve also had the privilege of capturing the soulful melodies of The John Malino Band and creating promos for the non-profit organization Global Children’s Art Programme and for the vibrant South Bronx Charter School for International Cultures and the Arts.
Working in a school setting within communications is extremely gratifying, as it provides me with the opportunity to uncover compelling stories and share extraordinary and impactful work that happens so often in schools.
Lauren Fontana
I’m the girl who “talked too much” in class. A born communicator, who didn’t fully recognize the benefits of such skills until after college.
I spent the first decade of my career working for national brands including Glamour, Real Simple, Cooking Light, and EatingWell, and spearheaded the marketing plan for the launch of Ayesha Curry’s quarterly magazine, Sweet July.
Working alongside some of the greatest editorial and marketing minds at Condé Nast, Time Inc., and Meredith Corporation has given me the most incredible mentors and an unparalleled marketing education.
My passion lies in building brands, executing big ideas, making my clients look their best, and coming up with the perfect alliteration. I believe in creating visually appealing and customized communications tailored to the audience and delivered at the right time.
Nowadays, I talk (a little) less and listen more. I’m the busy mom who receives hundreds of communications each day. I understand the importance of delivering a message that grabs attention and sticks. #boymom #eldermillenial #alwayshungry #canvageek

My reverence for words is equally matched by a desire to harness them with purpose and meaning. At the heart of my work is a keen ability to listen, make connections, and find the nuances using discernment and distinction for every unique voice.
With over 15 years experience in documentary and branded content production, advertising, and marketing, I am well-versed in strategic storytelling. Whether it’s in the form of written words or visual representations, connecting dots, shaping narratives, and effective execution excites me.
I take pride in my ability to connect with others and build relationships through understanding. However, what I am most proud of are my two children and their impressive vocabularies. They are a reminder of the importance to honor my own narrative in personal, positive, and productive ways.

Toby
CEO
I bring a number of skills to the team, including excellent eye contact, tail wagging and active listening. But I’m particularly proud of how I ‘protect’ mom while she works by lying on her feet under the desk. I’m the mellow one of duo and will roll over for belly rubs on cue. Fun fact: I will swim in any temperature and like to put my head under the water to blow bubbles.
Lainie
CFO
My skillset skews more to the active category, including invasive species removal (digging), crowd engagement (barking), and fitness trainer (zoomies). I’ve become an influencer at the office, everyone around here knows me. Fun Fact: I even trended on DogGram, ugh Instagram, last year.
